EDITORIAL SUBMISSIONS

Romantic Times BOOKreviews accepts your articles for consideration of publication in the magazine when space permits. Space is open to all authors. To that end, authors should be sure to submit their editorial materials by the correct due dates, for consideration.

All authors are encouraged to submit at least a spotlight for our RT Clubhouse section (see details below.) If you would like to submit some other type of article, please see our Submission Guidelines below.

Note: Editorial space is NOT guaranteed. It is given at our editors' discretion.

Submission guidelines: If you are interested in contributing to one of our columns, please contact Faygie Levy at or (718) 237-1097 ext. 27. Please state which column, the angle, as well as, the title and pub date of your next release.

We have limited monthly space for Pros on Prose and our genre specific columns, so please contact us in advance. Also, we want to explore a variety of topics for these columns. If your idea has already been done, advance contact provides the opportunity to identify another angle.

Some of the Columns Available to Authors are:

Clubhouse Spotlight: (200-250 words)
Send us a short angle driven author profile, latest news, related anecdotes, photos and/or new release information. The focus should be on something unique that will help sell the book.

Behind The Scenes: (750-800 words)
Anecdote, essay. This column allows authors to captivate readers' imaginations using the backdrop of their novel, the story behind the story. For historical books authors could write about: a typical day in England 1625; a biography on a famous figure or a fascinating legend. For contemporary books: a real-life event that inspired your novel, first-hand research experience or a social issue that spurred your latest.

Feature: (800-1100 words)
Authors can brainstorm feature length articles. All query letters are welcome.

Pros On Prose / Writer Tips: (650-750 words)
A how-to column that instructs intermediate and new writers. Previous Pros on Prose columns include: "What's My Line?": a quiz to determine which Harlequin category is right for you, "Writing the Blockbuster" and "Understanding the Power of Dialogue."

Editorial should be submitted to Faygie Levy by the deadlines listed below. Editorial can be submitted by e-mail ( ), faxed to (718) 624-4231 or mailed to 55 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
